Open for Pick-Your-Own Strawberries Monday, June 22nd, 4-8p

πŸ“ One Last Picking Opportunity! πŸ“

We’ll be opening the Patch one final time this strawberry season on Monday evening, June 22nd, from 4–8 PM!

If you haven’t made it out yet for your jam or freezer berries or you just need a few more for fresh eating, we’ve got a row for you.

In fact, we finished picking a few partial rows today and WOW β€” red, juicy, sweet, and absolutely worth coming out for. πŸ’›πŸ“

Picking is a little slower now (roughly an hour per flat), but there are still plenty of berries waiting to be picked.

So grab a friend, bring the kids, or sneak away for a summer evening in the Patch.

Everyone keeps asking…
πŸ«› “When will the peas be ready?” πŸ«›
Well, the peas have quite a tale of woe to tell.
It all started on April Fools’ Day. We probably should have known better than to plant that day because apparently Mother Nature was feeling mischievous. πŸ˜„
Over the next two weeks, the Patch received inches and inches of rain, and the peas… well, let’s just say very few survived.
So we replanted on April 25th.
Now, under normal circumstances, these peas are ready about 58 days after germination. Give them a week or so to sprout, and that would put us right around June 29th.
But then May decided to be exceptionally cool. And now June is taking a turn too. But peas like cool weather so….πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
Whew. Farming sure knows how to keep us humble.
Here’s what we do know: The peas are coming. Eventually. πŸ˜„
And when they do, you’ll have several opportunities to come out to the Patch and pick your own.
You probably just won’t be able to pick both strawberries and peas on the same day this year.
That’s farming for you. πŸŒ±πŸ«›
Stay Tuned Pea Friends!

Hope to See you in the Patch Soon!
