🌽 It’s Sweet Corn Season!

Β

There’s nothing quite like biting into an ear of sweet corn picked at just the right time. Sweet, juicy, and full of summer flavor, it’s one of those things that reminds us why Wisconsin summers are so special.

Whether you’re firing up the grill, bringing water to a boil, or adding cobs to a seafood boil, sweet corn has a way of making any meal feel like summer.

You can find our fresh-picked sweet corn:
🏑 At the farm store – Open daily, 9 AM–6 PM
Mount Horeb Farmers’ Market – Thursdays 3:00-6:30pm
Mineral Point Market – Saturdays, 8:30 – 11:00am

🌽 Planning to Can or Freeze Sweet Corn?

Don’t wait! If you’re putting corn away for winter, give us a call to place a bulk order (πŸ“ž 608-924-1404). We’ll schedule a pickup so your corn is freshly picked and ready to preserve.

🍴 Farmer Favorite: Grilled Corn with Herb Butter

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best.

Ingredients:
4 ears sweet corn, husked
4 Tbsp softened butter
1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or your favorite mix of chives, dill, or basil)
Salt to taste

Mix the butter, herbs, and a pinch of salt together.
Grill the corn over medium heat for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until lightly charred. Brush generously with the herb butter and serve warm.

Simple. Fresh. Summer.

Don’t miss bringing your family back to the farm for our fall season filled with over 40 varieties of pumpkins, a kiddie corn maze, and tractor rides.πŸ˜πŸŽƒ Pumpkin season begins September 19th.

πŸŽƒ Looking for a fall job? Come work at the Patch! πŸ‚

We’re looking for 1–2 dependable workers, ages 14–18, to join our fall farm crew!

Starting as early as August 31, the job runs through approximately October 16 and involves 3–4 days per week, with 3–4 hour shifts. Morning, afternoon, or evening hours are available, we’ll work with each hire to establish a consistent schedule.

You’ll be helping us harvest pumpkins, gourds, and squash, wash produce, and tackle all sorts of miscellaneous jobs around the Patch. It’s definitely physical work and you’ll be spending plenty of time outside, but you’ll also get to be part of one of the most fun seasons on the farm! πŸŽƒ

Homeschoolers have been especially great fits for this job because daytime hours work so well with their schedules, but we’re open to any dependable 14–18-year-old looking for a fall job.

Interested? We’ve put together a short application so we can learn a little about you and your availability.
