Raspberry Nutrition Facts
Red raspberries are filled with traditional nutrients. They are an excellent source of manganese and vitamin C, two critical antioxidant nutrients that help protect the body's tissue from oxygen-related damage by neutralizing free radicals. They also are a good source of riboflavin, folate, niacin, magnesium, potassium, and copper. The abundant flavonoid molecules in raspberries help to prevent the overgrowth of certain bacteria and fungi in the body (for example, yeast relating to vaginal infections which can be a contributing cause in irritable bowel syndrome). Like strawberries, raspberries are also another great fruit that protects against age-related macular degeneration. Red raspberries are a tasty treat that packs a nutritious, health-benefiting punch.
